For years now, PASTE has consisted of: Christian Matschke (guitar, vocals), Daniel Matschke (drums) and Basti Schmidt (bass, vocals), PASTE is a youngblood power trio from Bavaria that pays tribute to the sound of the legendary band „Cream“. In their early 20’s, Christian, Daniel and Basti play the powerful blues-rock sound of the 60’s, fearless covering classics like “Sunshine of Your Love”, “Polititican”, “I’m so glad” and N.S.U.Their easygoing and unrestrained style of playing proves that blues and rock aren’t an older generations’s sovereign right. These young musicians keep it alive with a fresh and energetic approach that would please Clapton, Bruce and Baker. The band’s original material is the British sound mixed with a variety of blues influences of later eras. Singing guitar riffs and creative powerful rhythm variations re-create the electric-dance-ability of the 60’s.And composing new blues “PASTE” shows with the achingly slow, “Ladies Blues”, written by Christian Matschke that the process of evolution in artist’s styles is alive and well. Their first CD titled “PASTE – A Tribute To CREAM!” is available on all larger Internet Music Portals.
